1856 'The following tenders were accepted :- Jones and Jump, for slides to the sheds at the north and south quays of the Wellington dock; J. Haswell, for iron castings for the doors at the same dock; R. Ashton and Co., for red lead, paint, &c., for the dock works.'[1]
