1847 Born at Starcross the son of Abraham Toby Saunders, master mariner.

1870 Married at Exeter to Kate Glave

1891 Living at Little Haccombe, Exeter: Tom Anning Saunders (age 47 born Kenton), Mercer. With his wife Kate and two daughters and a son Dudley G. Saunders. Also boarding is William Mumford (age 45 born Barking), mercer.[2]
