Born the son George Arculus, a Corn Factor, and his wife Sarah Dawes
1842 Married at Yardley to Mary Minshull and had sis daughters and five sons.
1871 Living at 46 Charlotte Road, Edgbaston: Alfred Arculus (age 46 born Birmingham), Manufacturer of Glass employing 50 men, 12 women and 14 boys. With his wife Mary, two daughters and one son.[1]
1875 Died. 'Mr. Arcolus, who was about 51 years of age, was very successful manufacturer, and has left widow with very large family.'[2]
