It was the first stress ribbon bridge to be built in the UK.

Built in 1974. Engineers: Oscar Faber and Partners. Designers: A.A.W. Butler and Geoff Hope. Built by A. Monk and Co.

Span 34m, width 1.8m wide. Deck is an in-situ ribbon slab, pre-stressed by twelve 8.7 mm dia cables.
