This is an attractive and nicely-detailed 36m span bowstring bridge carrying Tangier Way over the River Tone in the centre of Taunton. Completed in 2011.

The principal contractor was Galliford Try. Flint and Neill with Moxon Architects won the competition to design the bridge. The bridge was fabricated by Mabey Bridge. The steel bridge weighs 247 tonnes, and it was lifted in one piece onto reinforced concrete abutments.[1]
