1780 Born

Nathaniel Greening was a practical wire-drawer, believed to have come from Tintern Abbey Wire Mills to Warrington.

He started in the wire business for himself at Bridge-st., near the Lion Hotel, where he carried on the wire trade for some time.

1804 Nathaniel Greening, a wireworker, married Elizabeth Wild in Liverpool[1]

c1807/8 Mr. Greening went into partnership with Mr. John Rylands, senior, who was at this time a manufacturer of sail-cloth, cart-sheets, and other like fabrics, the manufacture of which he continued for many years after going in partnership with Mr. Nathaniel Greening in the wire trade. ....'[2]

1813 An Elizabeth Greening (b.1779) died in Powerstock, Dorset[3]

1841 Nathaniel Greening 60, lived in Bank Street, Warrington with Noah Greening 15, John Greening 15, Nathan Greening 12, Mary Greening 50, Sarah Greening 11, Hannah Greening 9[4]

1851 Nathaniel Greening retired from the firm. The business was continued by his three sons, Timothy, Noah, and John.

1852 Died in Warrington[5]
