1863 Maker of "superior calendering machine for Elastic Webbing"[3]
c.1872 Asked Henry Davey to join them but he declined. Abells set up the Sun Foundry works for Davey in Leeds.
c.1906 Single cylinder steam engine for Derby Malt Vinegar Co. Removed to Derby Industrial Museum in 1986.[4]
1910 William Abell of Uttoxeter New Road, Derby, died on 22 October, aged 66.[5]
