Major William Henry Noble (1834-1892) RA

Born at County Fermanagh the son of Robert Nobel, Rector of Athboy.

Associate member of the Ordnance Select Committee

Second officer of the Experimental Branch at Woolwich.

1861 Married Emily Marriott and had two sons and four daughters

1876 One of the British judges at the International Exhibition at Philadelphia

by 1889 was in charge of the ordnance factory at Waltham Abbey.
