Sydney Charles Rumbelow (1909-1974), founder of Rumbelows

1909 May 17th. Born at Hatfield the son of Charles Rumbelow, a house painter, and his wife Elizabeth

1939 Residing at 27 Fordwich Street, Welwyn Garden City, Manager Radio Sales and Manager of General Music Shop. With Vera Rumbelow (b.1911).[1]

1949 Opened first shop at 5 The Parade, St Albans Road, Hatfield
