Khedivial Mail Steamship and Graving Dock Co

1898 The company was registered April 30, 1898, to take over a fleet of steamships, graving and floating docks, belonging to the Egyptian government, together with a subsidy from the government.
The company was formed with share capital of £300,000. It acquired a fleet of 11 vessels, although only the three employed on the service between Alexandria and Constantinople were of real value, having recently been bought from Robert Napier and Sons for £180,000.[1]
