Incorporated Gas Institute

Presumably successor to the Gas Institute

c.1888 There was a split with some members seceding to form a rival institution

By 1894 the Gas Institute had been incorporated - Incorporated Gas Institute

1896 The thirty-third annual general meeting of this Institute was held at the rooms of the Society of Arts, London, under the presidency of Mr. W. R. Chester, M Inst. C.E. Mr. J. Hepworth, M. Inst. C.E., was Honorary Secretary of the Institute. An illuminated address was presented to Mr. F. G. Burfield, the late Secretary of the Institute.

1902 Amalgamated with the Institution of Gas Engineers, presumably as the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers.
