1982 The Bowater Corporation purchased Zenith Windows for around £4.2 million. Zenith had been established as a small business, set up in a garage behind a greengrocer's shop, less than 13 years before. By 1982 it was looking to reach £20 million in sales and had a workforce of 1,000.[1]
