c.1861 Formation of the Association

1871 Tenth Annual Meeting, held at the Royal Scottish Society of Arts, Edinburgh, on Wednesday, July 19, 1871: proceedings published in the Journal of Gas Lighting. Hugh Bartholomew (Chair), Mr M'Crae (Author).

1877 Meeting.[1]

1885 Annual report of this Association was compiled with others under the title of the "Associations of Gas Engineers and Managers" [2]

1889 Annual report of this Association was compiled with others under the title of the "Associations of Gas Engineers and Managers"[3]

1891 Annual report published with others as the "Associations of Gas Engineers and Managers"[4]

1892 The 31st Annual meeting held. Chairman was Adam McPherson.[5]

1911 George Keillor, of Broughty Ferry, was the president.[6]

1919 William Wilson of Burton on Trent, formerly of Falkirk, was President of the Association at its meeting in Edinburgh.[7][8]
