Charles Massey

1891 Charles Massey died on 28th day of October, 1891. Consequently the Partnership was dissolved between Charles Massey and Henry Boston Massey, carrying on business as Artificial and Bone Manure Manufacturers, at the Waterloo Works, Newcastle-under-Lyme, in the county of Stafford, under the style or firm of Charles Massey and Son. Henry Boston Massey would continue the said business under the style or firm of Charles Massey and Son.[1]
1902 The business was incorporated as Charles Massey and Son Limited[2]
1920 The company became part of British Glues and Chemicals, whose object was to acquire a number of similar businesses with the object of co-ordinating, developing, and extending their undertakings. To this end the existing company went into voluntary liquidation to allow the registration of a new company under the same name.[3]
