Lapointe Machine Tool Co Ltd. of Watford was the UK division of the US Lapointe company. The company developed the technique of "broaching" as an alternative to milling.

1920 Private company.

1961 Manufacturers of broaching machines, tools and fixtures. 250 employees. [1]

1966 The company, including the parent, was acquired by Staveley Industries[2]
