1883 Listed as a brewer of Monarch Brewery, Regent Road, Salford and of the Old Nag's Head, 19 Jackson's Row, Deansgate and of 8 Encombe Place, Salford. [2]

1886 Listed as a brewer living at 2 Walmer Place, Chester Street, Manchester and of Empress Brewery[3]
