1874 company founded by William Horace Tildesley, made horse grooming equipment – curry combs tail comb, sweat scrapers, then expanded into vermin traps.

Horace William Tildesley, the son of William took over the business with forging operations at its heart
Post WWII Horace’s son David succeeded his father
1980s David's eldest son Richard became Managing Director; the businsess developed export markets for its forgings.
As Technical Director, Richard’s younger brother John began investments in forging technology for a wide range of markets such as Admiralty lifting and rigging equipment, motor cycles and trucks and architectural ironwork.
Remains a family-owned business producing in high volumes as well as small quantities; capabilities include in-house die-making and finished component machining.
