Weardale Extension Railway
The Stockton and Darlington railway built this line for the Derwent Iron Co and it opened in 1845. It ran from the Bishop Auckland and Weardale Railway at Crook to the Wear and Derwent Railway at Waskerley.
In 1847 it was sold to the Wear Valley Railway and became unofficially known as the Wear and Derwent Junction Railway
