Bishop Auckland and Weardale Railway
This was an extension from the Stockton and Darlington Railway from Soho near Shildon, through the Shildon tunnel and then north toward Crook. This part opened in 1843
It was extended by the Weardale Extension Railway and sold to the Wear Valley Railway in 1847
