1960 Patent - as Stanley-Bridges Limited (formerly S. N. Bridges and Co, Limited) - Improvements in thermally-operated electric overload circuit-breakers. [1]

1961 Stanley Works (Great Britain) purchased all of the shares in S. N. Bridges and Co[2]. Presumably this led to the formation of Stanley-Bridges.
