1853 Taylor and Hirst listed as ironfounders, engineers, millwrights & machine makers. Robert Taylor listed as 'engineer, &c.' [2]

1864 Beam engine for Ellis and Co. (woollen mill), Saville Street, Dewsbury[3]

1865 'THE FIRM heretofore known under the name of TAYLOR and HIRST, Marsden Iron Works, Marsden, near Huddersfield, was CHANGED this 1st day of September 1865, to ROBERT TAYLOR and SONS.
