Edmund Golledge Norman (c1883-1928) of James Simpson and Co


1928 Obituary [1]

EDMUND GOLLEDGE NORMAN served his apprenticeship at the works of Messrs. James Simpson and Company, with whom he was associated throughout his career.

Upon completing his apprenticeship he was transferred to the erection department at the firm's London office for further experience.

In 1908 he went to India to represent the firm and installed many pumping plants there.

In 1913 he went to China as representative of the reconstituted firm of Messrs. Worthington-Simpson at Shanghai.

He was about to retire and return to England when he died on 18th March 1928, at the age of 45 years.

He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1912.
