Professor Carl Ramsauer (c1880-1856)

1956 Obituary [1]

We learned with regret of the death in Berlin of the professor emeritus and honorary senator of Berlin-Charlottenburg Technical University, Dr. Carl Ramsauer, in his seventy-seventh year.

Following his academic activity at Heidelberg and Danzig, Dr. Ramsauer, in 1933, became head of the newly-founded research institute of Allgemeine Electricitaetsgesellschaft, and a member of the Board of A.E.G., which he continued to serve in an advisory capacity after his retirement.

For his achievements in many fields of physics, he was decorated by the Federal President with the Grand Cross of the German Pour le Merite Order.
