- 1940s/50s Changes in ownership and product diversification led the company to produce the first commercial aerosols which were basically farm products, air fresheners and insecticides in the late 1940s, early 1950s.

- The company, now known as Swallowfield, has maintained its head office in the town of Wellington and expanded into other products including colour cosmetics manufactured at its factory site in Bideford, Devon.
