1954 Bio Note [1]

Dr. Hawkins was educated at Ermysted Grammar School and Edinburgh University where he graduated with first class honours in 1949. After a period of work with D. H. Moore, Civil Engineers, Scarborough, he was appointed assistant at Edinburgh University where he was awarded his Ph.D. degree. In June 1953 he became assistant engineer with the Edinburgh Water Works where he is at present employed.
