1954 Bio Note [1]

Mr. Forrest studied mechanical engineering at University College, Southampton, graduating with first class honours in 1944. He then joined the staff of the National Physical Laboratory where he is now a senior scientific officer. After two years of working on problems of supersonic flow, he has been engaged in research on the strength of materials at high temperatures, particularly on fatigue strength.
