1972 Obituary [1]

Harry George Rhoden (Fellow) of Cambridge, died on Apr 18. A Reader in Engineering and Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge-University, Mr Rhoden studied at Wigan Technical College, where he obtained a BSc (Eng) (Lond). He was also a Whitworth Senior Scholar and studied at Cambridge gaining a BA Mechanical Sciences Tripos.

His professional training and most of his subsequent career was with M-V Electrical Co, Manchester. In 1939 he joined Cambridge University as a Demonstrator in Engineering, was later appointed Lecturer and eventually Reader. Mr Rhoden was also actively associated with the work of the Institution and will be missed by many members.
