- c1810 Company established by Samuel V. Moore. They made steam engines including the beam type
- c1899 H. A. Pertwee became involved with the business
- 1900 W. H. Back joined the business
- 1914 Engineers, Iron and Brass Founders. Specialities: Marine engineering and constructional work, ice crushing plants and elevators. [1]
- 1920 Produced large triple expansion marine engine and fitted to the steam drifter 'Byng'
- 1922 Produced another engine and in 1927 it was fitted to the steam drifter 'Lord Anson'
