Another ship bearing the same name was launched in 1897

1897 The SS Victoria was launched from the shipbuilding yard of Messrs. Furness, Withy and Co., Ltd, of Middleton, West Hartlepool for Wilsons and Furness-Leyland Line, Limited, for their Boston and New York passenger, cattle, and cargo trade. She was the largest vessel ever built by the Middleton yard.
