  • Treasurer College Engineering Society.
  • 1883 Articled to Thomas Hewson, City Engineer, Leeds and rose to position of Chief Assistant;
  • 1899 Deputy Borough Engineer, Croydon
  • 1903-34 Borough and Water Engineer, Croydon.
