Frank Harris Mann (1890- ), of Moffett, Rosher, and Mann

MANN, Frank Harris, M.I.E.E.; b. 1890, at Birmingham; s. of the late E. H. Mann. Educ.: King Edward's School, Five Ways, and University of Birmingham; Honours Prizeman City and Guilds of London Institute. Constructional Engineer with Grimsby Corporation Electricity Department, 1919-1921; responsible for extensions of power station and system. Partner in firm of Moffett, Rosher, and Mann, Consulting Engineers, Birmingham; engaged in preparing electricity scheme for public and private supply, 1921-1931. Home Office Electrical Inspector of Factories for Scotland, 1931-1934; present appointment, Home Office Electrical Inspector of Factories for the Midlands. War Service, 1914-1919; served in Royal Naval Divisional Engineers at home and overseas, and as assistant torpedo officer in H.M.A.S. Australia of the Battle Cruiser Fleet; served on Fleet Equipment Council; received Admiralty commendation for services. Publications: " Some Psychological Aspects of Engineering Inspection," 1924; " Electricity in Factories," 1934; and other articles; tn. Mary, d. of the late J. Stormonth, of Edinburgh, 1918; two s.
