1912 Obituary [1]

EDOUARD RAU was for thirty-five years a well-known civil engineer at Brussels, and invented various devices in connection with railway signalling and telegraphs, and previous to joining the Institution in 1877 had written a book on telegraphy and one on electric fire-alarms.

He died on 7th February, 1912.
