1965 Obituary [1]

'We regret to record the death, on April 17, of Mr. C. A. Barrow, Public Relations Officer of Richard Thomas and Baldwins Ltd. He was sixty-two. Clifford Barrow had an extensive knowledge of the steel industry and served his company and its predecessor, Richard Thomas and Co. Ltd., for forty-two years. His training was in the commercial field and he was for several years engaged in the company's costs and statistics department. Subsequently, having qualified as A.C.I.S., he became head of the department. It was in 1953 that he transferred to the public relations department, as first as chief information officer. He became very well known and had a wide circle of friends both inside and outside the company.'
