CHARLES GEORGE CARLISLE. Mr. C. G. Carlisle, Managing Director of C. J. Carlisle and Company, Ltd., Sheffield, died on 18 January 1946, aged 67.

Formerly a metallurgist with Thos. Firth and John Brown, Ltd., of Sheffield, he was a joint founder of the firm of C. J. Carlisle and Company, Ltd., in 1920, under the name of Carlisle, Wiles and Company, Ltd.

He was a member of the Iron and Steel Institute, and a Mappin Medalist.
