Evan G. Wilson (c1881-1955)
Son of Edward Wilson (1846-1917).
1908 Married.
He had two sons - Kenneth Wilson born in 1910 and Lawrence Wilson born in 1914.
"Evan Wilson inherited the inventive abilities of his father and was responsible for patenting ideas and machines which in their turn were to prove the backbone of the business, and many of which have continued in modified or improved forms until the present day. Perhaps the most notable of these has been the Toggle Straining System for light leathers, which originated with his first peg straining frame in 1926, followed early in 1928 by his first patent straining frame and toggle, the principle of which is exactly as practised today."[1]
