Norman Thompson, a manufacturer of aeroplanes, based at Middleton-on-Sea near Bognor in Sussex.
1915 Formerly traded as White and Thompson Co
Norman Thompson designed and built several more aircraft including 50 of the NT4 reconnaissance and anti-submarine flying boat.
Model NT2b. Flying boat trainer. A single engined biplane with a crew of two and powered by 160 hp Beardmore; 200 hp Sunbeam Arab; 150 hp Hispano-Suiza or 200 hp Hispano-Suiza. 150 built from 1917. Nicknamed the 'Ruptured Duck'.
Post-WWI: Awarded £2,259 by the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors for the N.T.2, N.T.2a, N.T.2b, N.T.3 and N.T.4 seaplanes[1]
