c1868 Born in Birmingham the son of George Polkey, Lamp Manufacturer.

1892 July 5th. Married to Annie Payne the daughter of Henry Payne, a Blacksmith. George Abraham is a metal spinner.

1911 Living at 89 Whitehall Road, Handsworth, Birmingham: George Abraham Polkey (age 43 born Birmingham), Lamp Manufacturer - Employer. With his wife Annie Polkey (age 43 born Birmingham). Also his wife's sisters Ellen Payne and Emily Payne and his niece Gladys Hilda Payne.[1]
