George Escol Sellers
George Escol Sellers (1808-1899) was born in Philadelphia on 26 November 1808, the son of Coleman Sellers and Sophonosba Angusciola Peale Sellers, who were Quakers.
He became an engineer, manufacturer, and a writer. He has left us reliable and valuable accounts of a variety of engineering developments and characters. Examples of his early reminiscences were published in 1965[1]
