1940 After working with fuel oil heating with Archibald Low Ltd., Archibald K. Waugh founded this company.

At the start of the Second World War A. K. Waugh approached the Petroleum Board (Shell, BP and Esso) to supply small oil heaters for the war effort, and was successful gaining several units.
A. K. Waugh's son Billy, and later Bruce joined the company taking it through the 1950s and 60s
Early 1970s. Bruce leaves the company.
1977. A. K. Waugh was only the second person to be admitted to Honorary Membership of BCEMA (British Combustion Equipment Manufacturers Association) - now ICOM.
1988 Andrew Waugh took over the business on the death of this father Billy.
