at Abercamlais near Brecon, Powys

c.1830 iron suspension footbridge over the River Usk, attributed to Crawshay Bailey.

Notable for its minimal use of iron, and in particular for its suspension 'cables', which are actually round wrought iron bars of approx 28 mm diameter. There are two of these bars on each side. Their threaded ends pass through upright iron posts which are secured by angled bracing bars.

NOTE: Landowner's permission needed for access.
