1886 Alfred Baldwin and Co Ltd was established as a company, separate from E. P. and W. Baldwin, to erect and operate a tin-plate works near Pontypool, Monmouthshire.

1902 Alfred Baldwin and Co consisted of the Panteg Steel Sheet and Galvanizing Works, Panteg; the Lower Sheet and Galvanizing Works, Pontymoile; the Albion Slope Colliery, Pontypool[1].

1902 Baldwins Ltd was established and registered on 7 April to acquire a number of businesses including Alfred Baldwin and Co[2].
