Alfred Danks Ltd, engineers, of Quay, Gloucester
1912 Alfred Danks acquired the Westgate Iron Works in Gloucester
Acquired Messrs. J. M. Butt, the Kingsholm Foundry.
1921 Alfred Danks Ltd was amalgamated with the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co. Mr. Danks was appointed managing director.
1922 Purchased the Emlyn Works and closed the Kingsholm foundry in Gloucester
From 1922 Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co was closely associated with Alfred Danks Ltd.
1922 Manufacturer of Colliery plant.
1929 The Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co purchased Alfred Danks Ltd
1930 Gloucester Foundry Ltd. was set up in 1930 to run the Emlyn Works; Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co had a large interest in this firm.
