1880 Dissolution of the Partnership between George Carpenter Thorp, Frank William Allchin, and George Linnell, carrying on the business of Engineers, Machinery and Implement Agents, at Lewes, in the county of Sussex, under the style of George Thorp. All debts owing to or by the partnership received and paid by Frank William Allchin and George Linnell, by whom the business was to be conducted[1]

Partners are F. W. Allchin, G. Linnell and W. A. Smith.

1888 Hand operated machine for in-situ planing of the surface of slide valves[2]

1889 Showed an apparatus for lifting grain by compressed air at the RASE at Windsor.[3]

1890 Winding Up Order. Agricultural and electrical engineers, fitters, and round-about manufacturers. [4] Persons to be examined are Frank William Allchin, Henry Allchin, William Arthur Smith, George Linnell, sen., George Anthony Spokes, George Linnell, jun., W. P. Thomas, James Pugh, Augustus Cufaude Palmer, Frederick William Allen.[5]
