André Sleigh and Anglo
1908 George Jones resigned from the firm he had founded, G. W. Jones Ltd. (Printers); Mortimer Menpes, the art director, seems to have acquired the business, which became known as Menpes Press. Menpes undertook photoengraving and letterpress printing on quite a large scale.
1916 André, Sleigh and Anglo acquired Ashworth, Meredith and Downer, process engravers.
1918 André Sleigh and Anglo Ltd acquired the assets of Menpes Press
1919 André Sleigh and Anglo became Sun Engraving Co; all production operations were concentrated in the Whippendell Road plant.
