1903 Married Kathleen Booth in Hampstead[4]
1905 Started work at Crompton and Co at Chelmsford on electrical instrument design, and then lecturer at the works

1921 During the commuting journey to London, MacCullum met Byron G. Clark (who was living in Theale, near Reading, during the summer) and Mr Watsham (who owned an electrical contracting business in Covent Garden, London). This led to the Plessey Co gaining an order for some early crystal sets.
