Andrew Yule (1834-1902) of Andrew Yule and Co
Andrew Yule moved to Manchester around 1855 and formed a partnership with his brother George Yule as warehousemen in 1858. One of the first businesses he established was the Hoolungpooree Tea company and he went on to form Andrew Yule and Co in 1863 and established operations in Calcutta in 1866
1881 Living at Kingswood Road, Springfield, Dulwich: Andrew Yule (age 45 born Scotland), East Indian Merchant and Widower. With his daughter Annie H. Yule (age 6 born Calcutta) and his niece Margaret Yule (age 28 born Scotland). Also one other and three servants.[1]
1902 Died. 'The death is announced his residence in Dulwich of Mr Andrew Yule, senior partner of the firms Andrew Yule & Co., Calcutta, and George Yule & Co., London, East India merchants.'[2]
