Maker of aluminium windows

1968 Pillar closed 3 loss-making metal window companies - Mellowes and Co, Archital and Mellowes Luxfer. A new window frame company Archital Luxfer had been formed[1]

1969 Pillar acquired the 25 percent of Archital Luxfer, the profitable aluminium window company, from Alcan Industries[2]
