1864 Born in Birmingham, son of Frederick Brampton and his wife Caroline.

1881 Living in West Bromwich: Caroline Brampton 53, widow, Charles Henry Brampton 26, manufacturer, Walter Brampton 19, manufacturer's assistant, Arthur Brampton 17, apprentice chemist, Caroline M. Brampton 14, Herbert Brampton 12, Alice Brampton 11, and Mary Brampton 90, grandmother[1]

1911 Arthur Brampton 46, manufacturer of cycle parts, living in Sutton Coldfield with Alice Brampton 39[2]

c.1930 Became chairman of Renold and Coventry Chain Co

BRAMPTON, Arthur, b. 14th June, 1864, at Birmingham; s. of late Frederick Brampton. Educ.: Bishop Vesey's School, Sutton Coldfield, and King Edward's School, Birmingham. Chairman, Renold and Coventry Chain Co., Ltd.; President, Cycle and Motor Cycle Manufacturers' and Traders' Union, 1911, 1913, 1924, and 1925; hon. secretary, Birmingham Liberal Association, 1903-1906; hon. treasurer, 1906-1909; president, 1909-1928; chairman of Executive Committee National Liberal Federation, 1924 to 1930; president of the National Liberal Federation, 1930; has held various offices in Wesleyan body; m. Alice, d. of Edward Gregg, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, 1895; one s. one d. Recreations: Shooting, gardening, music. Clubs: Reform, National Liberal (London), Birming ham Liberal.
