Arthur Tannett Walker (1851- ) (later Tannett-Walker) of Tannett, Walker and Co
1851 July 8th. Born in Leeds the son of Benjamin Walker and his wife Sarah
1871 Living at 4 Newton Grove, Headingley, Leeds: Benjamin Walker (age 49 born Armley), Engineer. With his wife Sarah Walker (age 51 born Malton) and their six children; Elizabeth Artes (age 26 Holbeck) married with her husband John D. Artes (age 25 born Leeds), Insurance Clerk; Amelia Walker (age 22 born Hunslet); Arthur T. Walker (age 19 born Hunslet); Ann U. Walker (age 17 born Hunslet); Mary L. Walker (age 13 born Hunslet); Frederic W. Walker (age 11 born Hunslet). Two servants.[1]
1881 Living at Bainbridge Terrace, Headingley: Arthur T. Walker (age 29 born Leeds), Mechanical Engineer and Partner in Firm - Tannett and Walker. With his wife Annie M. Walker (age 22 born Leeds) and their son Gaskell H. Walker (age 5 months born Leeds). Two servants.[2]
1901 Living at The Elms, Weekwood lane, Headingley: Arthur T. Walker (age 49 born Leeds), Civil Engineer and Employer. With his wife Annie M. Walker (age 41 born Leeds) and their son Gaskell H. Walker (age 20 born Leeds). Also his Mother-in-Law Mary R. Gaskell (age 69 born Leeds). One visitor and six servants.[3]
Around 1901 he changed to using 'Tannett-Walker' as a surname and later added another 'Tannett' as his middle name.
1913 Listed as Arthur Tannett Tannett-Walker, lately residing at The Elms, Weetwood and now of the Great Northern Hotel, Leeds.[4]
