Ascot Gas Water Heaters Ltd. of Ascot House, 244 High Holborn, London, WC1; of 43 Park Street, London, W.I. Telephone: Holborn 7107. Telegraphic Address: "Gascot, Holb., London"

The firm was founded in London by Dr Bernard Friedman (who had earlier been importing water heaters and cookers into Russia). It was an agency for selling water heaters made by Junkers of Germany. To begin with the heaters were labelled thus.

The Company was presumably called Cookers and Geysers Ltd (see advert)

1933 Friedman changed the name of his company to Ascot Gas Water Heaters.

Friedman's son Leopold joined the company

1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Instantaneous Gas Water heaters for domestic purposes. Single-Point Bath and Sink Heaters. Multi-Point Heaters serving bath, basin and sink. Automatic in operation. Instantaneous Boiling Water Heaters, and other new developments. (Stand Nos. Ca.505 and Ca.404) [1]

1939 Products marketed by Bristol Gas Co.[2]

WWII Made hydraulic equipment for aircraft hun turrets[3]

1940 Patent - Improvements in and relating to automatic controlling devices for gas-heated liquid heaters. [4]

1941 Patent - Improvements in and relating to heat exchangers for water heaters. [5]

By 1944 was a subsidiary of Parnall Aircraft Ltd[6]

1948 Was part of Parnall (Yate) Ltd[7].

1958 Ascot later became part of the Radiation Group when it acquired Parnalls.

1961 Plumbers and hot water engineers, specialising in the "Ascot Heater". [8]

1967 Radiation was taken over by Tube Investments[9].
